The camera crew here at lunch time for a feature on the blue carpet, the only known large field with them....

Here we are hot off the DT camera....

A sight to cheer lockdown eyes?

DTC, thanks - what a lovely scene!
Thank you DT, that is a fabulous sight.

I should be charging you £6 to see this - it's what they charge for visitors......but the view in reality is spectacular....they are English bluebells apparently.
A feast for the eyes, lovely.
Some places to add to your 'to visit' list for next year, perhaps?

Beautiful bluebells and no doubt a wonderful scent.
Stunning sight! Love the bluebells, reminds me of my childhood, as I remember Mum use to take me and my sister for a walk on a early Sunday evening, to a bluebell field about 1/2 mile away.
Is that your back garden, DTC?
Oh that's stunning! Theres an area in the park by me that's usually blanketed with them...but for some reason I've not noticed them this year.
So beautiful DTC

Just beyond my back garden, Tilly, I can see them (just) from my kitchen window, the block being the trees popping leaves....
i saw this on my local news
It's very beautiful. Thanks.
There's a spectacular one I used to see about 20 years ago between Perth and Blairgowrie, I think it's called Kinclaven.

Braw.
For Douglas:

Ta. :-)
there's a nice wood in west London - but only one day a year (and not this year).

Lovely. Tomorrow I shall attempt to post a pic of the blue bells in the local wood. A very beautiful place and is not a published public right of way but the local estate allows access but as it's not publicised only us locals know :)
that;s magical, straight out of a Fairy dell
Beautiful.
