Dog With Diarrhoea

Anyone got any tips for dealing with a dog’s diarrhoea? Been to the vet, twice given kaogel (which clearly does not work) and once given a jab to supposedly settle her down. £150 spent already, and only fed rice and recommended sensitivity food, yet three weeks on still a bad stomach. No vomiting and no sign of blood in case you’re wondering. Crazy how much vets charge - humans get bad stomachs and it’s less than a fiver for effective medication. Anything you’ve tried on dogs that has worked?

What breed is she? Some breeds are prone to allergies or sensitivities - although it looks like you or your vet have already considered this.
Could she be eating something in your house or garden?
The amount of £150 for two visits is not that expensive (I was charged £500 to get four teeth removed - my cat).
Phone them for advice - my vet's surgery is doing phone and video consultations and yours probably will do so too.

This was recommended to me a while back when there was a canine bug going around. Her stomach settled before I ordered it though.

Do not wait longer than 1 day. Plain white rice and lots of water (try mixing it with low sodium/ no sodium chicken broth) is option 1. Be careful to check what the water intake is to be able to provide that info to your vet. Remember that this is simply a symptom and while it is very unpleasant, the reasons for it might be quite serious.
If you have abruptly changed their food then this might be a consequence. It could also be related to something your dog ate at the park (food he/she found) , maybe chewing someone else's treats to which they might be allergic or even sniffing the wrong dog who has a stomach bug.
