It was considered the best photo of this century. A lioness and her cub were crossing the Savannah but the heat was excessive and the cub was in great difficulty walking. An elephant realized that the cub would die and carried him in his trunk to a pool of water walking beside his mother. And we call them wild animals.

Makes me cry, with joy.

I still love the photo.
The photo looks fake and this is because it is fake.

What a pity that it is a fake.
It is, as we all have seen some large animals perform rescues of even the smallest creatures and it's beautiful to see.

I'm going to bow out of this before the glass-half-empty brigade all turn up and confirm my view of humans always wanting to believe the worst. To them I say, "Your glass IS half full, friend, and the world is full of better things than you can imagine."

I admit it did not look "right" to me...something about the perspective or shadows seemed wrong...not that an elephant wouldn't do that, if it could that is ;)
I don't think it's 'glass half empty' to be aware of the truth.

It's a cracking photo,an April Fool that went viral - but still an image to warm the heart.
This starts with the same one but adds some more, wonderful.

It makes you think of possibilities. Thanks anyway for posting it Allen.
"the world is full of better things than you can imagine."

maybe it is but that is not one of them. The truth is wonderful (and terrible) enough; why make things up?
Ps....we don't see the baby bird get away from the orang unharmed, neither do we see the deer get away from the retriever dog unharmed.
Thanks for ruining our moment of joy .
