On the 29th-31st January the RSPB are holding the Great British Birdwatch.They are asking people to re ord which and how many wild birds they see.I was just wondering how anyone they wouldn’t count the same bird several times.

I guess you can't always, but I can recognise different birds at my bird feeder using binoculars, they are all slightly different
From the RSPB website:
"Count the birds you see in your garden or from your balcony. Ignore any birds that are still in flight. To avoid double-counting, just record the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time – not a running total."
