Sharon Osborne - Total idiot or what

After sharon's derogatory comments about Journey South choosing "Candle in the wind", I think it's time to talk about Sharon Osborne...

What the hell is going on with this stupid woman? She is famous for being the wife of Ozzy Osborne, not for being anything in her own right. She is completely unprofessional on the programme, buts in on the other judges but shouts them down when they dare do the same. She heaps criticism on contestants, yet when hers are criticised (fairly) then she gets personal and shouts them down with some childish remark.

Her "i'm the mother hen" attitude, mixed with a healthy lack of perception, added to an oversized ego makes for an awful person.

Her making a spectacle, "Candle in the wind only reminds me of one thing" was disgusting. The song wasn't used to have any such "diana" reference. yet the ever attention seeking Osborne couldn't help herself. Do people forget this was written about Maralyn Monroe? And as if Sharon REALLY cares about princess Diana anyway.

What a total div that woman is... but there again, I suppose it's my own fault for watching. On that note, better go... it's still on!

I do agree that it was really unfair to refer to the Diana version. I have to say that it never crossed my mind at all about that! I was just thinking that it was a different version of The Marilyn song! Sharon does like the spotlight though!!

Agreed linda... she LOVES it. last year G4 did a christmas song that I thought was brilliant. And she got a bee in her bonnet because it was too "Churchy". Well sorry to sharon Osborne, but not everyone can pander around you and NOT do songs with a christian background just because she's jewish.

To be fair, I have to say I did feel it was not the best choice of song as it is now always linked with Diana even though they did sing the original version which was a tribute to Marilyn. And they sang it very well. But I do understand what Sharon was saying.

And in Sharon's defence, she is internationally acknowledged and has been for over twenty years as being the brains behind a lot of serious musical events. Sharon has been Ozzy's manager for many years and it was she who orchastrated his successful return to the limelight. In 1996 Sharon launched OZZfest, the first musical festival of it's kind. It was also Sharon who came up with the format for the fly-on-the-wall documentary "The Osbournes", which was copied by so many other "celebrities".

Sharon is held in high esteem in the music industry as being a very creative manager but she is also recognised as being a very discreet person who never brags about her achievements.

Perhaps that is why you were under the impression that she is "a total div" but she actually is a very humble person.

And why does she act like it's her right to throw water over people? Imagine the uproar if louis did what we'd all love to do and poured a glass of water over HER head! Why would that not be oh-so-funny?

Sharon Osbourne is not as daft as you think. She took over being Ozzie's manager in the 80's (and did a very good job of it apparently- he was pretty washed up before she took over his career). She is a very shrewd business woman and in the very macho world of rock held her own - her dad was a rock manager aswell - i think she got her balls from him.

Not disputing any of that, but Ozzy was MASSIVE to start with anyway. Easier to sell coca cola than it is to sell suncharm cola. But it's her double standards in behaviour that annoy me. And the attention craving that goes on.

Yes marcoddy,her double standards know no bounds! She doesn't impress me in the slightest..It is her "shrewdness" that is the point in question here. She knows how to play people cynically,to gain advantage to her objective!

For me, the most annoying thing about her is that she can never admit she's wrong or has made a mistake. Even Simon Cowell will put his hands up and recognise a mistake he's made. Her big mouth backfired on her spectacularly last year when she ripped into Steve Brookstein so she's trying a more subtle approach this time. Anyway, how hard would it be to manage Ozzy? It's not like he could argue coherently with her. Yes, her success is admirable but it doesn't make her likeable.
