He's changed his hiding place, and is now under a chair instead of the sofa.
He came out for a bit of chicken...good old bribery ;)
Oh...and he's also 'talking' a bit.
Lovely cat and he let you take a photo of him. Your patience will be rewarded. Give him another two months or so and he will be on your bed and then your knee. Marmie took almost a year to be completely comfortable
He's jumping today...He's played with the feather wand 3 times.
Of course, he might decide to hide the rest of the week. I'm just so pleased to see him more relaxed.
Oh, that’s lovely.
When my rescue cat finally left her hiding places to sit on my lap I started blubbing. She won’t leave me alone now.
Bless their little hearts.
There are knee cats, bed cats, on feet sleeping cats and some "thank you for my food and home, now leave me alone "cats. I recommend The Silent Miaow by Paul Gallico for an insight into the devious nature of cats
There were a couple of times yesterday...he was lying on his side under the chair and just looking at me. It was as if he was trying to figure me out. He played more today with the feather wand. Then got a claw caught in the chair. Couldn't get loose and he was hissing and growling. He didn't want to play after that...probably blamed the toy. ;)
I sent the rescue lady a video of him playing. She praised my patience and said he's reached a turning point. He was seen as a more difficult cat to rehabilitate.
I'll continue my updates.
