Pet Food Shortages

I just received this email from Sainsbury's...

Dear...
Due to a national shortage of dog and cat food pouches, we're sorry if you're not able to find your usual product at Sainsbury's. We're working hard to resolve this, but in the meantime we have plenty of cans and trays available. These are recyclable, so you can do your bit for the environment too. We think this issue will be ongoing through the year, but we hope to get them back onto shelves as quickly as possible.

I've noticed that a few brands are in short supply, prices are skyrocketing on Amazon ...not pouches specifically. I hope people don't panic buy pet food now...*rolls eyes*.

There has been a huge increase of people buying pets during lockdown, which has resulted in shortages of some pet foods in shops. Mars which makes a lot of different foods has increased production and is hoping to catch up with supplies.
