Hi mallyh. re 55. Have found 9 anagrams of "a nice trip" but none of them gives me a clue to the answer except possibly Pitcairne but if it's the island there's no "E" on the end.
Hi Finbonacci. re 77 not re the removal of "ch" to give another word for penalties.

Thanks Fibonacci and jj109. Re 77 - got it now. General name for those birds. I was concentrating on "central heating" too much.
77. Presume you mean anagram of "a nice trip" NOT "a road trip".
There are 12 anagrams on "Free On Line Anagram Solver" for "a nice trip" - most of them not very nice and no mention of birds or a bird family.

it's an obscure word begins starts "pic" - then you might need to look in chambers dictionary.
