Bengal X

I have a 7 month old Bengal cross. She is a beautiful kitten but having said that im sure she is the daughter of Satan. I love her to bits 80% of the time but she is a little swine. I know she is a kitten but iv had 5 cats in my time but never one like this. The main concern is that she bites. She will come up for a cuddle then all of a sudden she will sink her teeth into my arm or depending on where she is, it could be my face or neck. She has ruined most of my furniture and wallpaper as she loves to scratch. Im hoping she will grow out of this. Iv googled this and they suggest toys. Iv got every toy you could think of, iv got scratching posts in all of the rooms and Iv also tried the Fellaway, that was a complete waste of money. She runs around the house at 60 miles an hour. People dont believe me because when my family visit she is quiet as a mouse and doesn't move. Has anyone got any advice. Im desperate

Now when she sits on me I make a point of not stroking and just let her be. She has a tendency to paw swipe if you walk past her. We did not have he as a kitten though. She does tolerate the other cats but prefers her own company and affection is on her terms. To my knowledge she is not a Bengal but is a mix

She just sounds like a perfectly normal (and lovely) cat to me though ;-)

She doesn't sound as if she is attacking you in the true sense of the word. She is just being a kitten. I think that all kittens are evil - it is just a fact of life.

My two were 18 months when I was adopted by them. Princess Merlin bit me 9 times in the first few minutes and I ended up having an overnight stay in hospital when it got infected.
She kept biting for any reason until she died aged about 13. Her last major attack was directed at the nice Greek vet who had spent time trying to win her over until he had thought that he had charmed her.
PS I laughed at your story - kittens are very fragile-looking babies, so innocent and sweet - yeah!!

She sounds pretty normal to me also, though when local rescues advertise Bengals, they ask for 'experienced owners' as Bengals are unlike less aristocratic cats. I think they need a lot of stimulation. Maybe some cat puzzles would help. Like this...

Some Abers know nothing about cats.
I'd also recommend the Pet Remedy. I first used it for my lurcher Sally...she had firework terror. It helped her.
I've also used these treats for my anxious and scared rescue street cat...they also do a plugin.

Morning all. Daisy was spayed last month and I was so excited that it may have calmed her down. We bought her a surgical suite as I knew that there was NO way she would have a collar on. This definately calmed her down. She was a completely different cat with that suite on. I was considering getting them in different colours and leaving it on her permanently but I thought it was too cruel. As soon as the suite came off!!!!!! back to being a terror. To the Answerbanker that said to get rid of her..... not a cat in hells chance. I wanted advice not answers like that. Thanks all that gave positive answers.
