Lola Update

as previously told she's been tearing at her fur and I often hoover at least twice a day, she's had three vet visits at the tune of over £130 a time, she was given tablets by the last Vet and we were told she had a skin complaint after she closley examined her, the tablet made her a bit sleepy which stopped her scratching but this last week it's been worse than ever so we took her back to the Vets yesterday and she was seen by a new lady who quickly established Lola had fleas and prescribed her with 3 tablets one to be taken a month for three months called Nexgard Spectra, I am confused how a tablet kills fleas, can anyone explain please?

>>> if there's a Mod in the House, can you move to Animals please
Sorry, no can do. Only the Ed can move questions between categories. Ordinarily, I'd invite you to re-post your question in 'Animals' so that I could delete the one here. However, as your question has been answered here anyway, that would now seem to be somewhat pointless.

Also spray your whole house with Indorex flea spray. It kills flea eggs and larvae and the effects last 6 months or more.

I've used various flea sprays around my house over the years. Some of the strongest (and best) ones expect you to vacate your home, leaving all of the windows open, for several hours though! You also can't use them on bedding (either for animals or for yourself).
I've recently discovered this product though, which is surprisingly good at doing its job. (To be honest, I wasn't expecting that much from cheapish stuff purchased from B&M but it really works!). Its advantages are that you don't have to vacate rooms after you've used it and you can use it on any surface, including bedding, except for ones that it would make slippery (such as wooden flooring). Each bottle seems to go a long way and you can even apply it directly onto your pets!

(If you decide to seek it out, note that the label has been changed from green to orange since it was listed on the B&M website).
