Prezzies for your pets.

Does anyone feel the need to buy their pets Christmas presents? It has cost me a small fortune this week. I have two dogs. so:- 2 new collars. 2 new extended leads. 2 soft toys. 2 squeekies and 2 cut and shampoos. Not forgetting choc drops for the tree.

My cat is getting a stocking stuffed with various types of treats and 3 new toys for him to chase round the house. Its wrapped up and under the tree and he's already sniffing around it and pawing at it!

My dog will be getting something squeeky, something tuggable and something chewable! My cat will be getting something he can chase around the living room and a new 'cat play bag', which is a bag with a catnip pouch inside that makes a crunching sound when you touch it. He tends to crawl in it, get totally spaced out on catnip, then fall asleep in it. Its the cutest thing you ever did see!

Go to any ol' petshop. They'll probably have little toys with catnip pouches in, does the trick everytime ; )

Only once bought a joke present for our cat. His first catnip mouse. Wrapped it up and put it under the Christmas tree. Within seconds of coming into the room he'd sniffed it out and tore all the paper off with his teeth and paws. It was hilariously funny to watch.

Fly has a doggie chocolate advent calendar! The other day she decided to open the presents under the tree early, only one of them was her's.

What would we do without our animals?

I have a toy and a massive chew for my dog and he will also get prezzies from my mum and dad my nan my sister my brother and my auntie and uncle, we all give gifts to each ther dogs they are our little babies!

When I was a youngling, my dog and I used to wait next to the Xmas tree and she was as excited as I was!! We used to get her her favourite toys (like tennis balls) and wrap them up and actually present them to her - she caught on very quickly how to unwrap her gifts.... needless to say, we all had a ball!! :-) It's great to see that my family isn't the only one treating the animals as actual family members!!

I consider my kitty just as much a member of my family as anyone else. YES he gets presents. This year i got him a 4 and a half foot tall jungle gym and a bunch of toys.
