I just this on telly and missed a bit...I've never seen anything like it. Watched it second time on YouTube and I was crying and cursing. Just amazing to watch.

He was injured when he fell in a river so had to be transported for care.

He was being taken home from what I gathered.
Unfortunately his injuries took their toll. :(

Yes...his legs were injured, quite swollen. He got to the point where he couldn't get up.
