Lost Cat

I have recently moved home from london to suffolk, my cat has been kept in for 2 weeks, and i started letting him out he never went far, then a few days later he would not go out because of the dogs next door barking, I let him out today at 5pm and he is still not back, I have called him, shacked his biscuts, he would normally respond. he is a very homely cat, am I over reacting?
