Not a bit, Mushroom. I'm not that fond of meat but eat it sometimes because Dave cooks it...and very well...that's incase he reads this thread. :-)
The actions of these people would stop me supporting them in any way at all.
I can do other things to slow climate change whenever I can...but I won't be encouraged into veganism by people doing this.

The vegan activists have latched onto climate change to push their cause. I doubt going vegan would make much difference to climate change in the scheme of things.

By significantly reducing the number of cows/ beef cattle on the planet? Not my idea, I hasten to add before I am jumped on by farmers, milk men etc etc.

In a related issue, I see that the women who threw soup on the Sunflowers painting are pleading not guilty. Presumably to go to trial and get more publicity. Should there be some mechanism where a judge should be allowed to deny the right to a trial and go straight to sentencing when someone is irrefutably guilty?

Well if a judge had been able to deem them guilty without the trial they would not have got off! Just a point for debate. I can see the pitfalls.

Other animals must produce much more gas than livestock. Horses, camels, apes, elephants, dogs, cats....
Hells bells, we'd be a lot more farty if we all went vegan.
We can't grow many beans in the UK so import them from far away countries along with a lot of other vegan staples. That doesn't help the climate.
Alternates to wool and leather can be very bad, too. Step away from microfibre, people, it pollutes the oceans.

This direct action is just encouraging the belief that they are protesting for the excitement and not the cause.
