Why does my cat knead with her BACK paws only?

She's a funny little critter! It looks so weird when she does it, as her little back knees stick out! She sort of hand-stands on her front paws, and kneads with her bum in the air! Our other cats only do it with their front paws. Thanks kitty lovers!

I see them do this when they are in heat....

Hmm.. can't be that, as she's been spayed. Maybe she's just odd?

my cat does the same. she balances on her front paws then kneeds with her back paws and waves her bum in the air. She has been spayed. Sometimes i think she is spraying. I wonder if cats have phantom heats like dogs can?

Could be that... I asked my Vet and he said "she's backwards"!! I HOPE she's not spraying - she does it standing on my chest with her bum towards my face!! It's quite worrying at times! What odd little cats we have! Happy New Year!
