Why Would People Want Both A Ps5 And An Xbox Series X

I know of some people who have both which is cool but I wonder why you would want both? Pretty much the same games come out for each console don’t they?

My opinion is that if it doesn't run on a PC I'm not interested.

You're not a dedicated gamer, OG. You haven't got the ginormous tv, the surround sealers, the reactive vibrating gaming chair, the joystick, the steering wheel and all the others gubbins the gamer has

Not all games are available on all platforms - this has been an issue for many years.

We stopped at PS4 but he had both consoles up to that point.

Depends on your definition of 'exclusive' and also your definition of many. I think its about a dozen on the Sony and less than half a dozen on the Xbox if memory serves me right. I also recall all these are available on the PC.

So why buy both? I asked a friend who has both why and he (probably as truthful as you will ever get) answered "Because I can"

Personally I have always been Sony. We currently have hooked up (in different recreational rooms) a PS3, Ps4 and PS5. I've got some of the games for the PS2 but cant find the console at the moment :-(

For some people, in the end, the cost of the software dwarfs the cost of the platform ... so better to get whatever platforms they want and not be limited.

Buy the software on Ebay. It appears pretty fast after a release, although of course this is no good if you buy a machine with no disc.

You would have to go some to get through £500 it costs to buy a machine and there isnt enough on one and not on the other to justify this.

True but one of them is Halo which is enough ex use for many.
Much prefer my PlayStation personally

I am clearly not a true gamer. I enjoy the excitement of new consoles and games but in all honesty after 30 minutes of playing I am bored.

The thing I like most is the storylines ie dreamfall got me very intrigued but I prefer watching over playing so ended up just watching the walkthrough on YouTube
