Are You Struggling Due To The Economic Crisis?
24 Answers
Apparently the front page of Saturday’s Times newspaper had an article on how to live it up while you're broke – so to help ABers out, below are a few of the handy tips to save you money (from the Times article).
• Don’t shoe the back hooves of your horses
• Buy your champagne from Aldi
• Try this scam, take your dirty laundry to a hotel and demand that they clean it for you while you wait in the hotel bar for it to be done
With regards the last tip, besides being illegal I’m sure the hotel would ask for your name & room number, and after a few drinks at the bar it would have been cheaper to launder the clothes at home.

We've had to sack one of our butlers and 2 of our cleaners.
The Rolls Royce had to go .... so now we've got a crappy Bentley instead.
8 holidays a year instead of the usual 10.
The villa in France had to go, but we're just about managing to hang on to the ones in Spain, Greece and Italy :)
.... the list is endless ....

//Come on, one tea bag? Hot water?//
Plus...
Staff costs (salary, pension contributions, NI contributions, sick pay, holiday pay...)
Energy costs (boiling the water, heating the place in winter, lighting, running ancillary equipment)
Rent
Business Rates
Advertising and marketing.
Provision and cleaning of cups, spoons etc. Provision and maintenance of tables and chairs.
(I could go on).
If you want a cup of tea for the cost of a tea bag the only place to get that is at home - and even then there's a lot more to it than the cost of the tea bag.

Well I have saved money by switching to ocado, with all the offers I have paid less than the big four for at least two months now, I have just been told my electric DD is going down by over £40 per month, so the prosecco stays, as do fresh flowers every week although I arranging them myself. Looking for a cleaner now, if anyone in Birmingham had to let theirs go.
