Update On Dil Pregnancy

But my DIL will be having a termination on Wednesday after it was discovered that the baby not getting enough oxygen & has a chromosome deficiency. 

We all are very heartbroken & I just cannot find the words at the moment.

Thank you all for your kind messages. My DIL is totally devastated. As she is over 6 months, she has to go through a birth & both she & my son will have genetic testing before trying again , God willing.

So very, very sorry for you all.  This happened to a friend of mine - not chromosones but huge spina bifida, which was leaking and would  kill her - the baby had no chance of survival.  Going through the birth was a dreadful experience. I'll be thinking of her and you tomorrow. I'll send a prayer as  well, if you have  no objection.

If it helps at all - she had a healthy baby 18 mths. later.

Sorry to hear this.Please don't take offence but I hope the hospital has a bereavement room and cold cot for them to us. They should chose a special outfit toy and blanket and if possible take hand and foot casts and/or prints and photos and hopefully close family can join them

If the hospital has a good maternity unit they should have everything in place to ensure the family has a positive experience despite it being tragic. Parents should be encouraged to spend as much time as possible with the baby. With a cold cot this can be 3 to 4 days
