What is American Shoe size 11 in British Shoe size?

Everytime I see Paris Hilton on TV I wonder what her shoe size is? I've just found out on Internet that it's size 11 (American). What's this in English shoe size?

I sell shoes and we go by the British standard, size 11 US we would consider a European size 42 and a British size 9

I have size 8 1/2 to 9 feet and I'm a girl, it's damn hard finding shoes that fit properly!

Dear Clarabel82,

There's a shoe shop in London (and a few other big UK cities I think) called CRISPINS. They don't DO smaller than an 8 (British) so you really should get fixed up there.

Hope that helps. Thanks to everyone who responded. I've got big (ish) feet and PH's shoe size now explains why we NEVER see her in flatties - as every female who has larger feet know, flatties emphasise the length!
