I have a fox visiting me in the garden.  Sometimes he limps on his back leg and sometimes his leg seems fine, somI don't think it's broken.  Is this common with foxes?

I wouldn't worry about it, we all get aches and pains from time to time

He may have pulled something jumping over the lazy dog.

He may have hurt his leg and it pains him intermittently.

Maybe there's more than one fox?

Foxes are always climbing (a 6 foot fence is nothing to a fox) and digging so it is possible he or she has injured it.  If he is still getting about on it OK, I would be inclined to leave it.  If it gets worse, report to a local animal rescue.

I have been watching him for two or three months, it has always been the same.  Not getting worse though.

I had an injured fox in my garden once and our local Animal Rescue came out very quickly and took it away for treatment.  They kindly brought it back a few days later and it was fine.  Good it came back to an area it knew.
