. I feel that I may have long Covid as all food doesn’t taste right. For instance, I had some battered fish from the chip shop. It wasn’t quite cooked enough, also a battered sausage. I only ate less than half as I didn’t like it. So, tonight I had a tin of tomato soup, in which I placed the undercooked fish and the soggy battered sausage. I vainly tried to enjoy it, but failed. It was disgusting. But I continued on, ignoring the urge to heave, and finally finished the saucepan I was eating from. I now feel queasy, and am burping fishy unpleasantness.
Bloody Covid eh?

Why did you eat undercooked fish?

Sounds revolting!

WHY for goodness sake? I woulda thought if your taste was affected by covid you would go for nicer stuff than that puke.

I lose my sense of taste and smell if I have a cold, hay fever also affects me.

It could be covid, it might not be.

I would not be able to force that concoction down with or without my sense of taste

sounds ghastly - eat some fresh veg, say in a good tagliatelle dish and take it from there...simple to prepare and good for your health.

Take no notice, David. Sounds ok to me! 😄😄

David - please don't try to eat food that you find repellant.  Try to take a minute and think what you would really fancy.

And if you think you're poorly drink plenty.

Hope you feel better soon.

If the battered fish had about three minutes more cooking it would have been cooked. Why eat it. Well, I paid nine pounds for that blooming fish. I cannot recommend battered fish in tomato soup, never mind the sausage.

Thank you Rosie29 very kind. I am fine by the way. Just food tastes all wrong to me. No big deal.

I eat leftover fish and meat in salads or sandwiches, not in tomato soup.

I'd have put the fish in a frying pan for a few minutes.

Seems like something even a UNi student would turn their noses up at.

You need to sterilise your stomach now - I suggest neat vodka.

You'll feel fine tomorrow.
