The Ayatollahs in Iran are to introduce clinics to 'treat' women who refuse to wear the human. The Soviets used the same tactic to try and deal with their dissidents. It didn't work for them and I hope it will be a failure for the Iranians as well.

yes I remember the trials Sinyavsky and Daniel - and then they just incarcerated them in psychatric hospital

The political response was to cut off russian psychiatry. When Prof Linford Rees prof of psych argued that 'jaw-law' was better than silence, he was (the only psychiatrist to be attacked) in the Times!
Later 1991 the russian psychiatrists said it was good to be talked to.

I am not sure if this has anything to do with Iran. It may be a sign that the great and good that govern Iran recognise the ( refusal) behaviour is not criminal but has to be handled in some way
