My dog has just been diagnosed with kennel cough. Is is possible that another dog can be a carrier of kennel cough without any symptoms??

join up the kennel with the underline
when we moved to hampshire from surrey, both my dogs got it. They hadn't met any other dogs or been in kennels but the weather was mild and damp and I remember the vet saying that she was seeing quite a few cases of dogs getting infected without the usual contact with an infected dog or stay in kennels. She suggested that either they might have caught it off a fox or from droplets expelled by an infected dog either in the air or on the damp heather etc.
I am on the comittee of a ringcraft training club. Kennel cough can be transmitted from infected dogs on peoples shoes and clothes....it only needs a bit of saliva to spread it. Our club had a case of it a short while ago, the infected dog was not allowed back for 6 weeks. The trainers would not touch the mouths of any dogs during this time, just in case. Luckily only one other dog got it. It is very contagious. Please don't go near or let your dog go near any other dogs until it is cleared up. If you think the cough is around....get to the vet. Prevention is better than cure.
