My nine year old yorkie has developed some lumps on the side of his body ,they dont seem to bother him and have come over the last week or so ...any ideas anyone?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Older dogs do develop lumps but if these have come on suddenly then a visit to the vet is priority.It may be nothing.but it is best to get it checked.My dog had a lump come up in his hind quarters a while ago,which proved to be benign.The vet will take a biopsy to determine what the lump is.
Has he knocked himself at all ? Dogs don't bruise like we do ...rather a fluid filled lump appears which has to be drained.
Take him to the vet for your own peace of mind and the dogs health.Good luck..I hope he will be okay.

Hi I got up this morning to take him to the vet and found all his lumps had gone !!!! I had to see the vet (long term health problem) and told him about the lumps he thought they were most likely fatty lumps or allergy but as he was not scratching etc. not too worry ..thanks to you all for help and advice
