They can't read, listen to music, watch TV or indulge in other interesting hobbies, so apart from having a wee and eating, there's not much for them to do except sit and watch, or doze. And the older they get, the more they sleep. A relative of ours has an 18 year old cat. Apart from arousing herself from sleep just long enough to pee and eat, she literally sleeps 23 and a half hours a day. And at this time of year when it's cold and grey, who can blame her?
hmm well we call it duckmuck in Bolton - Dont have any clue why??
My cats also get it, I dont think its anything to worry about, because humans get it as well.
My cats also sleep alot, they sleep all day if let too but then as soon as we have gone to bed they start running round the house like nutters.
