If his name is in green he's new.....Howdy Eric...still don't think you should let a dog pee in your home just because they're new>>>but that's IMHO, (backed by 30 yrs of training dogs)

Hi, Yes I am new, as for the dog pee, I've had several rescue dogs, and it'snot a case of letting them pee in your home, more a case of not being surprised if they do, I don't agree in letting them pee either, but if they do don't be too harsh on them as most rescue dogs come with no background of behaviour to messure against.

That's right never be harsh when correcting ANY dog when they pee in your home a UH UH sound and take them out to where you want them to go and a good dog and treats always facilitate the best response for repeated behavior.

Sorry I misunderstood your reply it sounded like you went ahead and let them pee in the house because they were new and needed them to "MARK" their territory, any marking should be done outside, MY BAD... ;)

HI, we have a rescue dog and she is taking a while to get the house training thing, but we always treat her kindly and she has really responded so well to the love we show her. The message from me is have patience and always show the very best kindness, firmness and most of all LOVE for a rescue dog, or indeed any dog and they will repay you tenfold X
