This has to be the best webcam ever for birdy addicts! The server had crashed thanks to thousands of local radio listeners who were given this link, but now it's up and running again. WARNING - it's addictive!!!

Question Author

Daddy Ezzy has just turned the eggs over and is getting a bit jumpy looking up, down then round again.

Do you think this means it's nearly champers time? Probably imagination but I keep hearing 'cheeping'.

oh well timed - I just got back here too Cetti.

It must be live now as its barely light....I can hear lots of different cheeps but I expect there'll be a dawn chorus from other birds.

I've just got back from the shops & am here again too!

I'm never gonna get my new shrubs planted at this rate!

Question Author

It's 6am now in Hornby Island smudge, so the birds will be really chattering sending the old boy into a nervous frazzle.

No, this was a really weak 'cheep' but as my nerves are as bad as his now I'll put it down to lack of food. Must have my lunch now.

Question Author

See what a state I'm in I meant Robinia, not smudge.

I need food.......:-D!!

has anyone brought a flask? :o)

sorry for the chat Ed, if you see this, but we're 'hanging by a thread' - it's going to be a long day

Makes ya laugh - they're just waking up & I'm yawning my head off ready for an afternoon nap!

Good idea Robinia - I'll make a flask of soup & some nice fresh crusty bread for later!!

We're still patiently waiting Edwina & Ezzy!

It's wonderful watching their feathers blowing in the breeze.

morning all - did anything happen yesterday? I kept popping in & out but it was so difficult to either get a connection or keep it for longer than a few mins. It must have been an incredibly busy line! I'm busy today but hopefully will pop back after lunch.

Just removed my mascara & drunk my Horlicks!

Thought I'd pop in before closing down for the night - nice clear picture, but still no chicks as yet!

Goodnight all.

Sitting here with my Granddaughter on my lap & we've just been lucky enough to watch Edwina get up & move the eggs around, then lay back down again. Little Izzy was so eggsited & can't wait to see the new chicks too!

Now off out shopping......

Question Author

I've just found something interesting on the Forum.

Last year Edwina and Ezzy went 38 days before giving birth and not the usual 35 days, so that means tomorrow is the ETA!

I do hope that these little ones hatch & survive but the statistics are a bit disheartening. Let's think positive!

I'm really off out of the door now, but will look in again later & tomorrow - hopefully for two successful hatchlings!

They will certainly have two very dedicated parents to look after them, ah!

Question Author

The nailbiting is not over yet smudge.

If one hatches tomorrow then we have to wait another 4 days for the other one as that's the interval between the eggs being layed.

Survival of the fittest in the birdy world!

Back again....Yes I remember when my dear old Dad used to breed budgies! Waiting for the eggs to hatch was always an exciting time for all, but alas there were some 'empty' ones too!

Wakey wakey bird watchers!!!! :o)

apparently one chick hatched yesterday - it started pecking it's way out at about 9.30pm our time & the other one was expected soon after. That would have been the time I switched my computer off, what a shame.

Cetti you might like to put another post on A & N ....?as it's the weekend it won't get taken off if it's a 'chat' rather than a qustion.

Question Author

That's odd Robinia, I was watching until after 1am our time last night and plainly saw the two eggs as Ezzy changed position - but no babes.

I shall be out all afternoon so if anything happens feel free to post as we're all expectant parents together, ok?

hi Cetti - have had some probs posting after my earlier one.....here's the link

here

I'm popping in & out hoping to see the action replay but it won't be long before live streaming starts at dawn & then it'll be busy again.

Question Author

Thanks for that link Robinia, I've mentioned it on a new post as you suggested.

What I said still stands though.....if you or any of the other 'eagle grans' want to put a new post when there's a definite sighting of baby then feel free ....you won't be treading on any toes, certainly not mine.

Have a lovely afternoon in the sunshine!
