Biting point in Seat Ibiza

Recently bought on 04 Seat Ibiza, was interested to know if other Seat drivers have experienced an unusualy high biting point in their vechicles. My foot is practically off the clutch before I can get anybite, withot giving it lots of whelly with the accelerator..

Is this just me being a bad driver or could there be something behind it?am dreading having to do a hill start !!

I had the same problem with my car when i first got it and my father was able to do something that shortened the biting point! Dont ask me what though!

Take it to a local garage and see if they can do this for you, it really helped me as a new driver

clutches can be adjusted usually with a simple turn of a spanner, take it to reputable garage, they will more than likely sort it free of charge.

If i remember right these cars have a hydraulically operated clutch and no way of adjusting it. If the biting point is high it could signify a worn out clutch so be prepared.

ive got an 03 ibiza cant say i havent experienced that problem though i wish the engine had a bit more to it i have a 1.4 16v
