Cats love ear wax?

I have noticed that my cat loves the taste of ear wax. Is this normal?

I noticed when she started licking an ear plugs I had used! I have a terrible habit of scratching inside my ears too and she then trys to chew my finger nail.

I read somewhere that yes cats do like ear wax ,I don't know if it's the smell or the taste

hi ali, this is strange as last week one of my friends asked me if my cats like ear wax. I looked at her in surprise and thought she was having a laff. She then said she had been itching her ear and her cat came up and started chewing on her finger lol. I thought it was pretty horrible and had never heard of this before, but after reading your question then I would say 'yes, cats probably do like ear wax' lol

I would say not all cats do. Years ago I used to have a cat that would go wild for it. Since then I've tried it with all my replacement cats and none has shown any interest.

Seems to depend on the cat. My partners old cat used to go crazy for, but our two are fairly indifferent. One of them loves the smell of chlorine though (when we've been swimming...me and my partner that it & not the cat)
