Puppy not playing

I just got a 7 week old lab 3 day ago. The first two day he was following me around everywhere and today he won't go out from in front of the door. He has been to the Vet and is okay. Can anyone help?

Also, Labs a very destructive ... I wouldn't recommend keeping one in the house ... especially when he gets to be about 6 months old. Also, a good thiing to do with Labs is to empty out your closet of old shoes and start keeping your good shoes in it. And provide plenty of toys. And when he gets to where he starts chewing on the furniture and door frames ... there's a special spray you can get to keep him away from them. And most especially, keep all houseplants out of his reach ... some of them are poisonous.
I'd hate to be a dog in your house svnwndrangl. Whats wrong with training a dog not to chew and be destructive? There must be hundreds of thousands of labs who live in the house. I personally would not want to keep a dog and make it live outside. My seven would soon turn the tables and shut the door on me if I tried to put them out.
Poor little soul. He's been yanked away from his birth environment and now finds himself in a strange place without his mum or any of his siblings. I expect he's feeling separation anxiety and needs to find his bearings. Perhaps he just needs lots of fuss and attention until he gets used to his new home. He's suddenly discovered it's a big wide world out there and maybe he's a little frightened of it. Give him time and I'm sure he'll soon be ruling the roost if the vet has found nothing wrong with him.
