You might also stumble across something else you enjoy this way as well.
Hope this helps.
hi i used to work as a keeper at Chester zoo alot of students used to come to us for experience aspecialy biology students. What ever your feelings about zoo's be open minded, Chester is internationaly one of the best and has a massive education department, and helps hundreds of students like your self to gain insight and experience in conservation. Chester does support many field conservation projects and has links with many more. Many students go on to interesting careers all over the world. But it is very difficult to get in these days and there may be a long waiting list so apply now. animal keepers all tend to keep in touch and move from collection to collection, it is like an international community and many keepers have friends and contacts doing field studies world wide, usualy students they have kept in contact with! there are so many students now who come out of uni and dont have a job. the opportunities are out there but you have to really be in the mix to take advantage of it. get to know as many people as possible, as much hands on experience as you can get, and get your self known. That will double the value of your degree. good luck enjoy regards bruno
