Cat Arthritis Supplements
2 Answers
Has anyone got experience with cats (or dogs) with arthritis?
My cat's just about to turn nine and she's had increasing problems with her hips since a serious infection at the base of her tail, about two years ago.
Our vet thinks it's the early stages of Arthritis, but it seems to be deterioting very quickly. It's gone from bothering her only 20% of the time last year, to 90% of the time now.
I'd like to give her a supplement to help ease the symptoms and hopefully slow down the progression of the Arthritis.
I've seen some Glucosamine/Chondroitin/MSM capsules at http://www.healthydirect.co.uk/HDSite/0706.htm . She is good about taking tablets but I think it might be kinder to use an oil on her food (unless it tastes awful!). Any ideas?
