dry cat food

following on from the q about CPL and iams cat food, there is no way i'm giving my little terror iams anymore but what to replace with, I can't use purina products or felix as these are companies owned by nestle (don't do nestle), she doesn't like whiskas or go-cat dried food. what ethical alternatives are there?

Most cats will accept a change in diet - you do have to persevere a bit but the rewards are there.

Ask your vet, but i would suggest Science Diet. Its dry food but your kitty may eat it. Its possible that its just the brand of dry food you tried to use that your kitty didnt like.

Because, Lankeela, if I buy IAMS and I am against what they stand for personally, then I am in essence FUNDING their continunaces of practices I find objectionable.

But thats my whole point - its YOUR objections and what YOUR against - ask the cat and he would say Iams is the best cat food there is. Bit like vegetarians refusing to feed their dogs/cats meat.

Lankeela, you do make a good point but I'm not in the debating mindset at the moment. Perhaps it just makes me feel better that I'm not giving money to an organization that harms animals.

check out this website http://www.medi-cal.ca/ if you are Canadian. It is the best food we have out here. My vet researched 3 diets and this one was the best for quality and support.
