how to get rid of mice

i have tried mouse medicine from band q and home base which didn't work much, also mouse killer boxes, they didn't seem to enter box. also mouse glue traps caughtr the odd mouse, but mice are v clever they know where they are.also i ve tried mouse plugs, even they don't stop the mice all the time.also the council had to change the medicine and casme 3 times. does anyone please have any ideas. many thanks Baljit
