Moving House.....

We recently moved house, a couple of streets away, and the cats (3) just don't seem to have learned how to come back home. They manage to find an exit and disappear but don't manage to retrace their steps. Luckily we can go back to the old house to retrieve them but for how long? Any suggestions (does the butter on the paws really work?). Our other concern is that they now seem to be unwell, is it due to the move? They are suffering from upset stomachs and are being sick, fairly frequently. Any suggestions?

have you tried keeping them in the house for a a week or so? (i can't remember how long exactly you're supposed to keep them in for) they're then supposed to get used to the new house.
butter on the paws does work, i had 3 cats when i moved 2 being heavily pregnant.Did the butter thing and let them out and after exploring for a while they came home! something to do with it erases the smells from your old house, apparently.... If no joy keep them in ha ha
