Original paperback copies

I'm looking for the original paperback copy of the children's book, The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark, about a little owl called Plop. The author is Jill Tomlinson.

I've seen the new version of it but the illustrations don't do it any justice... or maybe i'm just sentimental...

Still, if anyone can help, i'd be most greatful.

This is a really good book swapping/selling site and they have three copies of the book you are after - don't know which version you need, but there are pictures of the covers and details of the ISBN numbers, so you may be lucky to find what you need. If not, register with them anyway - they'll let you put the book you want on the wishlist and they'll let you know when they get a copy. Hope you get what you want!

You've got me confused, Jeanette.

I've just checked the British Library catalogue. This states that this book was originally published (presumably in hardback) by Methuen, in 1968. It was then issued, in paperback, by Puffin in 1973. I assume, therefore, that it's the 1973 version which you require. That edition is definitely in the list which I linked to.
