One of my poor wee cats is allergic to fleas. he has been treated for the fleas but is now is an awful mess with scabs everywhere and a couple of bald patches :-( poor baby.
I took him to the vet today and she has given me tablets to give him (ten over the next few days, that'll be fun lol) and this liquid stuff.
Apparently I have to get him wet in the bath, rub this stuff on till it lathers and then rinse it all off!!
(how did this woman become a vet without knowing what will happen when you try and bath a cat? lol)
Anyway, wish me luck and does anyone have ANY ideas how to make this process any easier?? HELP!

Think it's a bad idea to get drunk first?

No, I recommend getting thoroughly smashed, that way the alcohol numbs the pain!!

Thanks, will I post photos of my shredded arms and legs when I'm done? lol
I know it sounds crazy but for really deep scratches put neat Dettol on them, it doesn't sting and stops the bleeding - speaking from experience, my Chinny had claws like sabres and enjoyed being bathed about as much as root canal treatment. can you get one of the spot-on treatments ? they seem to work very well for my crowd best of luck though
I think sometimes animals have a 6th sense and know you are trying to help them. When our cat got stuck somewhere and was found covered in mud and could hardly walk, he was happy to have a bath and made to feel better. We also had a guinee pig which had to be bathed every day and that was a different matter. He went into a fit every time he hit the water. Good Luck!
I like to fill one sink for washing (with soap and water) and one for rinsing, side by side sinks only. And then dip like a.... baptizm i guess. If you hold him by the scruff of the neck and squeeze and rub the fur with your free hand. Then to dry wrap the entire cat in a big towel and rug vigorously.
