I will be gone for a month and I have a 12 week old kitten. He is staying with my family, but will he forget me by the time I return? He is so affectionate and I don't want him to treat me like a stranger when I come back!
I dont think he will forget you, although you may find he grows more affectionate with your family since he will have been with them for that month.
He will still be young when you get back though so im sure it wont be long before he is affectionate to you.
He might be a bit wary of you when you get back, but im sure this will wear off in no time!
hi, i'm sure you're kitten won't forget you, he/she will remember your scent & voice for longer than a month.
when a friend of mine moved away (with her cat) i never saw her for over 2 months, but when eventually got round to visiting her, smudge (cats name!) knew me as soon as i said hello.
When you come back he will probably give you a look like who are you? Oh I remember you! He might not even do that . Chances are he won't forget you. If you have had him for a long time he will definantly not forget you.
I was asking the same question about my 12 month old "boy" - I had to leave him for 2 weeks, we got back on Sunday! I have 3 cats including him, and left them at a well respected cattery. When I went to pick the cats up, the little one did look at me in a "who are you" kind of way, but as soon as he was home, it was like we'd never been apart. I hope your little guys is the same with you!
