Hi, my parents brought over 2 cats from South Africa, they have been in quarantine nearly 6months now in Uk, close to cheltenham, they are paying 500pounds/cat per month!! is this right?
They were told they HAD to sit full 6 months. that means 6000 pounds!.. they brought the cats from south Africa through special cat movers.

seems very high. My sister in law brought 2 cats over from Macedonia and they cost 1500 per cat for the six months so your parents seem to be paying double this. The full 6 month quarantine period is correct though, I suppose it just depends where they go
surely you can buy a new cat here for less than that?
Costs vary considerably between kennels/catteries and it is by agreement. It should be researched before booking.

Here is another cattery for a price comparison:

Really they should have sorted all this out before. If they try to cancel or avoid payment in any way they will be in breach of contract.
