My cat is an indoor cat and we are thinking of making a simple activity centre for him so he can climb, jump etc.
Does anyone have any ideas what types of materials we can use or even ideas for activities.
We have exhausted the things we have for him, although he still likes the old silver foil balls and shoe laces.

Try hanging a ball of fluff or toy from your door handle with a little elastic they are a scream when they try to walk away with it only to be elasticated across the room (safely of course), and they wont give up lol
How about a ping pong ball in the bath (empty of course)?

Also, you could shine a torch on the wall and move it around for him to chase after.

We have three cats and even though they go outside we bought a scratch post with a base for them to stand on. It also has a ball on a string attached at the top. They are three years old now and all of them still love to use it.

Hope this helps
Try Googling 'cat activity centres'. Although they are trying to sell you stuff it will give you some ideas that you can perhaps adapt to suit.
They look pretty easy to make yourself. To cover, use sisal twine & glue - same as scratching posts. I reckon you could also use the thick cardboard tubes that dress/curtain fabric comes wrapped around.
