Just been out in the garden hanging out the washing and was amazed to hear a pair of Great Tit's singing and answering one another. This triggered off the visiting Blueys and nearby other birds were singing.... yesterday a Hummingbird hawk moth visited my petunias. It has been really hot and humid the last couple of days but I don't remember(or perhaps it's my age!!!) the birds singing like this in September. Has anyone else seen or heard any 'springiness' around?
I am currently sitting here with the patio door open and I can hear all the birds twittering away, had loads of blueys and a robin out there first thing - they have now set the budgie off :) but it really is like spring out there.
Hi Cetti..Funny you should say this, but I just noticed this morning, that my dwarf grape hyacinths are coming up! The green leaves are well above ground! They normally flower April/May time.
