Afterall a pack of baying hounds isn't going to be incentive for them to go on an afternoon's jaunt is it? so I'm afraid I find that argument a little hard to swallow too.
Who and what are these hunt people ? whether you''re a rich landowner or you come from a council estate I don't really care !! but I will NEVER understand how you can enjoy seeing an animal being ripped apart ? The camera has brought the reality of fox hunting to our TV screens. This is not animal rights it's human wrongs.
:sighs heavily:
Bazile, exactly where in my answer does it say that I think it's ok for hounds to chase a fox to death because other people are trapping or shooting them? Please read answers fully and make sure you understand what the poster is saying before you reply!
If you had bothered to read my reply properly, you would have realised that I was merely stating the fact that it is legal to shoot foxes, as the Government thinks that a trained marksman will always kill the fox instantly with a single shot, and never will they just injure the fox, leaving it to suffer a slow death from its injuries.

Shire - can I suggest that in future , you do not post an answer that is open to interpretaion - as yours was - if you are going to be upset when people ( not just me ) interprets it contrary , to the point you were trying to make
Given the opposition to the government from certain quarters, to the introduction of the ban - and the government's apparent unpopularity - it certainly was not clear whether or not you are involved in hunting foxes - and therefore you were being sarcastic when you stated
' .... thanks to our wonderful government ....' - and that you would ignore the ban .
