When I was in the Body Shop recently, I asked if these products arent tested on animals, how are they tested to ensure they are safe, the response is they are tested on humans.
Does this mean they have a little tribe of pygmies out the jungle somewhere that are frequently being washed, perfufumed, powder puffed and highlighted and then being monitored for ill effects??
Watch out for statements such as "finished product not tested on animals" as it means the ingredients all are, this is a Loreal favourite. On that subject, as they now own the Body Shop this means that by shopping there a company that does test on animals (even though they pretend they don't) will benefit.
I haven't used any cosmetics (and household products wherever possible) since seeing a poster at school about vivisection about 20 years ago, it's getting a lot easier now!
