I have a tropical tank and for some reason the water will not clear properly recently. Can anyone help on how to sort this and what may cause this?

Are you replacing 20% of the water every week? How long do you leave the lights on for? are you getting a lot of algea. Tell me more.

The water is changed on a weekly basis as instructed. However my tank is in my attic room conversion which has a skylight and a window. The room is very light during the day.

Will this effect it?
Hi
If your tank is in direct sunlight it will develop algae blooms, can you move it?
I believe you can pick up a supplement that can help clear the water. Sometimes it may be your local water supply that can cause this.
you can yes CT, but personally i'd be very reluctant to add any chemicals in with my own tropical fish.

Thanks for your answers. To be honest I am not sure about trying the additive but will attempt to move this from the sunlight.
