Something happened last night that i haven't been able to get out of my head.
Driving home from a friends, having had 1 drink(a half) I approached a junction and struck a cat, I stopped to see what it was but then I drove on, I know i should have checked it out but it was cold outside. and I didn't have a coat.
Does anyone now the law surrounding this?
Am I obliged to stop for a cat?
I was by no means over the limit but the guilt has been stopping me sleep, I feel as though I've been struck down wiith an illness!
When my mum was ill with cancer her cat took her mind off her worries. This cat really made a difference and brought the smile back to her face when she was alone in the house and my dad was at work. This cat got run over by someone who did not stop like you. Luckily a kind neighbour took the cat off the road. My mum was devestated by this and by the fact that her cat was left to die in the road. Even though cats may not mean anything to you, you should have the heart to realise that they do mean a lot to other people!
You know people like you wnjxc21, lead me to the ironic conclusion that although I hate bullying prats like you, it would be perfectly excuseable should I ever meet you to smash your face in.
Good job it's just cybersapce isn't it, where you can hurt goosing with words but I can't lay a finger on you.
Lucky, lucky boy you are.
get a life? your all on here getting yourselves wound-up...
I must be a bully because i wrote a thread and you all attacked what i'd said...
Of course I must be a bully, the fact that Noxlumos would 'smash my face in' doesn't constitute any form of aggression of bullying does it...i am indeed a lucky lucky boy as you say!
I hope you can tell your wife what a stud you where putting people in their place via your PC
..well done to you all...try not to wind yourselves up too much!
I believe in Karma, so what goes around, comes around!
you will get what you deserve in the future wnjxc21.
I don't really like Cats, but NO ONE should be so cavalier about life, and if, as I fear you have posted this to be horrible to another ABer .... then you really are as despicable as other AB'ers seem to think you are.
Hope this whole thread get's banned, and you along with it!
Hence the words "ironic conclusion".Sorry I assumed you'd understand what that meant and had not made allowances for your obviously low IQ. I must remember to make allowances for that in future.D******d.
I believe in reincarnation - wnjxc21 is coming back as a big tom cat.
I tend to be a reasonable person and can see two sides of an argument, but nah - not this one.
My cat died recently, old age got him and not a car, and I loved him very much. He was also a monster of great proportion and thought nothing of attacking me to get what he wanted. But that was his personality, he was a non-human person and had the right to live just like humans.
Granted there were times I felt like killing him - but that's cats for you.
What a unpleasant, unfeeling character you are. You hit somebody's beloved pet and didn't stop because "it was cold" and you'd had a drink. Or had you drunk enough to take you over the limit and you didn't want to be caught?
Some child or adult is now probably absolutely distraught because their beloved pet has been killed. Would you have stopped if you had hit a child and you didn't have a coat on?
There may have been nothing you could have done to avoid the accident but you could at least have done the decent thing and stopped to try and find out if it was dead or injured and the owner lived nearby.
