Palm Oil - Who needs it????

Do we really need Palm Oil in our goods?

I have just recently read about the total devastation this causes in the rain forests to animals and the eco system in general. The Orang-utan is in great danger of being wiped out completely by corporate companies, including some of the supermarkets here, who do not give a damn!

Palm oil is found in things such as bread, chocolate, crisps, detergent and lipstick. We can surely change our lifestile slightly to something that doesn't contact Palm Oil if only to make a small difference?

I make my own bread, don't eat crisps, don't eat chocolate and have recently changed detergents, (my only problem is lip lip at the moment, not sure if Body Shop are using it not, will find out) - but am slowly changing the way I do things as this rape surely cannot continue?

Am I the only one that feels with a heavy heart when I see pictures of the dead Orang-utans in the path of diggers and burning fires just so we can have a bag of crisps?

Sorry Friday soap box but has to be said!

I know I will survive without it!!! If it is required to make certain products, perhaps these products shouldn't be made.

Keep up the good work, I would be interested to know if the Body Shop are using it as well!!
