Anyone got one.? I'd like to know what they're like. They look lovely, and seem to fit with the kind of dog I'd want.

Always give me a big welcome when I arrive. Both are bitches and love good long walks. They are quite trainable apparently and these two are very well behaved indoors. Outdoors they do have a bit of a problem with one the the bitches as she doesn't like other dogs, so has to be kept muzzled, but I don't think this is typical for this breed. My friends do strip their dogs' coats occasionally. That is all I can tell you about them really. If Lankeela comes online, I am sure she will be able to tell you more than I can. Best of luck.
Sorry not an answer but have been following your Qs.Have you tried looking here http://www.petplanet.co.uk/select_a_breed.asp answer the Qs and see what it throws up for you :o)
They have only recently been accepted in this country by the Kennel Club, and only 9 were registered in 2005.
Although you might have trouble locating one, I am sure the people promoting the breed in this country would be more than happy to tell you about them and for you to become involved in their breed.
I will make enquiries from one of my dog groups and see if I can find someone who has them.

Go to http://www.champdogs.co.uk and click on Guided Search, then Gundog Group, then German Longhaired Pointers, then breeders. There is only one listed, but there is a link to their website, Arany Gundogs, and they have written a guide to the breed. I am sure they would be pleased to answer any questions you may have.
