poorly cat

our cat had bad diorrhea with blood in so we took it to the vets, got antibiotics, and were given some goo that you add to his food to 'bind' him up(!)
Problem is we gave him this binding mixture, and he now has barely been the loo in 4 days. we stopped giving him this goo after one and half days of no bowel movements. he has since had a couple little poos, but nothing other than that. he's eating little bits here and there and drinking loads.
is this normal? any advice anyone can offer before we go back to vets?!

I would give the vet a ring. It won't cost you anything other than the phone call.

Did your vet check your cat, for any thyroid problems?
