ostmen use this spray but what is it?

Does anyone know what this spray used to deter dogs who might attack them is? A friend had her dog sprayed by the postman who put his arm through her gate to spray the dog's face! We can't find out anything about it - the complaints dept said they didn't know.

Found this on Peterborough City Council site - you could rng them and ask for information:

Never heard of that, and I've been a postman for nearly 20 years. I find carrying a smacko or a chew works wonders - completely throws them, and they're friends for life after.
