I haven't been too good these last couple of days, I can't be cured so I expect to have bad days! A friend did take me up to see the foxes a few nights ago which I thoroughly enjoyed, all 11 are still there so I must try to get some more pics before the mating season ( early December onwards ) when most of them will go off to find a new territory, although saying that they often stay when there's an abundance of food so in that case by next May there'll probably be about 30 odd!!! The problem here is you can't just stop feeding them at this time of year because they need all the extra food they can get, I must say all of them are in beautiful condition at the moment. Some of them are getting a little bit picky about their food, they'll soon be sticking a menu on the tree stump!!! Anyway I'll keep in touch, I should be going to see them again sometime this week if I feel up to it. Thanks again for your kind wishes. Gelda.

Lovely pics Lottie. You're very lucky to see them in daylight. I was hoping to get up to see mine tonight but my back is rather painful so I've put it off for a couple of nights, mind you being bonfire night there might not be many of them around, on a different subject I hope people will remember to check their bonfires for hibernating hedgehogs and other small mammals, it's a thing that always worries me at this time of year. hi, glad you enjoyed the pics, they were took a few years ago but still the same ones come (only a bit fatter & older!) i hate bonfire night & worry all week for all the animals, hate it when they keep letting all those bangers off! sounds silly but i always say a little prayer to keep them safe! sorry to hear you're not feeling to good, you take care & keep in touch ,

Gelda, this is such a lovely story. I am so sorry for your illness and do hope you're now holding your own. I love the story of the kitten and am glad your foxes are doing well. I understand your wanting to keep their location a secret. We also feed a lame fox every night but do it very secretly as I'm sure our neighbours wouldn't be happy about it. But when we humans are greedily taking over all their territory to build houses on, I think we have a duty to help them survive. Lovely pictures. Hope we'll have some more soon.
